Something’s happened with your equipment, and you need service. Seems easy enough, right? You pick up the phone and call. At Jones-McLeod we understand how important each piece of equipment you have is to the success of your operation. Our goal is to get you back up-and-running at full capacity as quickly and efficiently as we can. To that end, there are some things you can do to make the most of your service call. The following simple suggestions go a long way in helping us make a speedy repair or even eliminate the call all together.
What You Can Do
Before you call, please do the following so that we can be as efficient as possible. These things can help us get you up and running, while saving you time and money.
- Get Details on the Problem – Find out as much information as you can regarding what the operators of the equipment are experiencing; no detail is too small. For example:
- Do the lights come on?
- Is the pilot lit?
- Is the equipment plugged in?
- Is it making a funny noise?
- Does the issue only occur when you first turn on the equipment in the morning?
- Have your water filters been replaced lately?
- After the thunderstorm the power went off, and the equipment won’t come back on
- We see ice build-up inside the cooler
- Find Your Equipment Information – If possible, have your make, model, and serial number of the equipment handy when placing a service call
- Utility Supply Information – For electric equipment know the voltage rating and for gas equipment know whether it is supplied by natural or LP gas
- Are you IN or OUT of Warranty? – Know what kind of warranty your equipment has. Not all issues are covered by factory warranty. If your equipment still falls under the warranty period and the issue is a warranty issue, we want to bill the manufacturer, not you.
- Let us know the best times to service your unit
We hope this helps you make the most of your service call. We are always here for you and we want your business to be a huge success. We love to eat!
